Moc si nepamatuju. že bych jako dítě skládala puzzle, ale v hlavě mi utkvělo jedno, které měla doma moje kamarádka z 1. třídy. Byla to loď na rozbouřeném moři a toto obrovské puzzle měli zarámované na stěně. Já jsem pak jeden čas skládala puzzle na vysoké škole, protože jsem se někde dočetla, že to pomáhá uklidnit roztěkanou mysl. Takže jsem vždycky ve zkouškovém období před každým „šprtáním“ skládala.
Zajímavá je i historie puzzle: kreslíře map Johna Spilsburyho trápilo, že se lidé nezajímají o zeměpis a neví, kde který stát leží a tak hledal vhodnou pomůcku, jak lidem i dětem přiblížit zeměpis. V roce 1766 tak začal vyrábět puzzle z mahagonového a cedrového dřeva, které si však mohli dovolit jen ti nejbohatší. V roce 1870 pak spatřil světlo světa stroj na vyřezávání dílků puzzle, čímž se výroba zrychlila a když výrobce napadlo nahradit dřevo lepenkou, mohlo si puzzle najít cestu k širší veřejnosti.
Nyní se podíváme na to, jak puzzle vybírat (dle věku dítěte), kdy je vhodné s jejich skládáním začít, jak je skládat, co všechno se děti skládáním puzzle učí a jak je skladovat.
Obecná rada zní, že počet dílků puzzle by měl odpovídat věku dítěte, přičemž v potaz byste měli brát také jeho schopnosti a zkušenosti se skládáním (ty bývají u každého dítěte jiné). Začínejte tedy těmi dvousložkovými a počet „puclíků“ zvyšujte až když má dítě toto již zvládnuté (pokud dítě přehltíte, nebude úspěšné a nebude ho skládání bavit). Nemám moc ráda přesné určování věku, kdy je vhodné začít se skládáním, ale když budete mít ty nejjednodušší puzzle doma od 18 měsíců dítěte, určitě neprohloupíte.
Pokud máte problém s tím, aby se dítě vůbec do skládání pustilo, namotivujte ho takovými obrázky, které má rádo a které přitáhnou jeho pozornost (např. různé pohádkové postavy, zvířátka, oblíbení hrdinové).
Než půjdete puzzle skládat, je důležité najít si pro tuto činnost správné místo. Důležitý je především dostatek denního světla. Pak záleží na tom, zda obrázek složíte ihned celý nebo ho budete skládat několik dní po částech. Pak je totiž důležité, vybrat si místo, kde vám rozestavěné puzzle nebude překážet. My nejraději stavíme na zemi, vhodný je ale také stůl nebo můžete využít rám na puzzle. Ten je velmi praktický jak pro skládání puzzle, tak pro jeho skladování (snadno ho můžete přenášet).
My dospělí většinou skládáme puzzle tak, že si nejprve dílky roztříďíme na okraje a vnitřní puclíky a dále pak dle barev. Snažím se to tak ukazovat i Samíkovi, ale on se celkem logicky jako první zaměřuje na postavy, což je pro děti určitě snazší než začínat pro ně nic neříkajícím okrajem obrázku. Navíc schopnost třídit dílky dle tvaru se děti učí až postupem času. Skládat můžete společně nebo jako my na čas – se Samíkem si vezmeme puzzle se stejným počtem dílků a závodíme, kdo ho dřív složí. Větším dětem můžete práci ztížit tím, že jim vezmete předlohu.
A proč vůbec puzzle skládat? Co rozvíjí a k čemu je to dobré? Jak všichni víme, trpělivost je ctnost a jak jinak si ji vybudovat než právě skládáním puzzle? Hledání dílků, jejich skládání dohromady, opětovné hledání, testování kam který dílek zapadne – všechny tyto úkony vyžadují velkou dávku trpělivosti, soustředěnosti a také vylepšují naši schopnost při řešení problémů, protože nutí náš mozek formulovat určitou strategii.
Tím, jak děti zvedají, otáčí a skádají puzzle, zlepšují se jejich motorické dovednosti a koordinace ruka-oko. Učí se tak propojovat instrukce mozku s tím, co dělají jejich ruce: oči vidí obrázek – mozek dá instrukci, jaký dílek je potřeba hledat – ruce ho najdou a umístí.
Při skládání puzzlí trénujete také paměť: když například vezmete do ruky dílek a zjistíte, že nepatří tam, kam jste mysleli, odložíte ho a musíte si pamatovat kam. V tomto ohledu funguje i jako prevence Alzheimerovy choroby, tak neváhejte do skládání zapojit i babičky a dědečky.
Skládání puzzlí je skvělá možnost, jak zaplnit volný čas, protože zaměstnává levou i pravou stranu mozku, což je ideální příležitost nejen k relaxaci, ale také k vylepšování funkcí mozku (logické myšlení, prostorová orientace) a ke zvětšování jeho kapacity.
A proč byste měli puzzle skládat se svými dětmi? Protože skládání zahání stres – puzzle vyžadují 100% vaší pozornosti, což znamená, že z mysli vytěsníte každodenní problémy a nahradíte je touto relaxační činností.
V poslední době jsou velice populární různé vzdělávací a asociační puzzle, které mají za cíl děti něco naučit. Já už jsem o nich psala zde.
Napadlo vás někdy, že puzzle byste si mohli vyrobit i doma? Jde to a není to vůbec těžké, potřebovat budete jen lékařské špachtle, nožík, samolepky a fixy. Samolepku s obrázkem nalepíte na špachtle poskládané vedle sebe a pak už budete jen řezat tak, jak to vidíte na fotce. Pokud nemáte velké samolepky, můžete vy nebo děti obrázek na špachtle namalovat.
A jak nejlépe puzzle skladovat? Mně by se sice líbilo, ponechat si je v původních krabicích, ale to už bychom se doma asi nehli a proto téměř na všechny hračky skládající se z více částí, používám uzavíratelné sáčky (DM drogerie, Ikea, Pepco). Ty pak třídím do krabic nebo šuplíků podle druhu (máme jednu krabici vyhrazenou právě na puzzle). Pokud není součástí balení puzzle obrázek, vyříznu z krabice příslušnou část s předlohou a vložím ji do sáčku spolu s dílky.
